Airshine Music School and The Afterschool Clubhouse are teaming up for an unforgettable summer! Each week we will explore a new theme with STEM challenges, art projects, and fun games led by The Clubhouse, while Airshine brings musical experience to match. Plus a field trip each week to tie it all together!

Get ready for a summer full of discovery, creativity and music! Camp Hours are 9:30am-3:30pm, Monday - Friday.

Summer Camp Session 7
Defying Gravity Musical Camp

$350 per week
Ages 6-14

Step into the enchanting world of Wicked, where we’ll dive into the iconic story of Elphaba and Glinda, two witches whose lives intersect in unexpected ways.

Campers will explore the themes of friendship, ambition, and overcoming adversity as they learn about the musical’s unforgettable songs, such as “Defying Gravity” and “Popular.”

Through acting exercises, vocal lessons, and character exploration, participants will bring the magic of Oz to life on stage, creating their own rendition of this Broadway hit.

June 16th-20th

Summer Camp Session 1
The Greatest Showman: The Spectacle of Imagination

$350 per week
Ages 5-12

This year’s summer camp will also embrace the wonder of The Greatest Showman, a musical that celebrates individuality, dreams, and the power of bringing people together. Campers will explore the high-energy, inspirational songs like “This Is Me” and “A Million Dreams” while creating their own circus-themed performances. We’ll focus on movement, acting, and music, helping campers develop their confidence, creativity, and sense of wonder. The Greatest Showman theme will encourage everyone to embrace their unique talents, just as the characters in the show.

On June 20th, the final day of camp, campers will enjoy a day in Balboa Park, where we’ll create a circus in the heart of San Diego.

June 23rd-27th

Summer Camp Session 2:
Shrek the Musical: A Fairytale Adventure

$350 per week
Ages 5 - 12

Everyone loves a fairytale with a twist, and Shrek the Musical delivers just that! Campers will delve into the world of Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, and a host of other beloved characters, learning lessons about friendship, love, and accepting others for who they are. Through dramatic improvisation, singing, and creative character work, campers will have a blast bringing these quirky characters to life. And of course, we’ll sing along to hit songs like “I’m a Believer” and “Freak Flag,” ensuring that laughter and joy fill the air at every rehearsal.

Campers will go on a quest of their own in Mission Bay on June 27th, putting their problem-solving and teamwork skills to the test.

June 30th-July 3rd

Summer Camp Session 3
Music History: A Journey Through Time

$300 per week
Ages 5-12

No summer camp experience would be complete without exploring the rich history of music. Campers will take a fascinating trip through time, from the Classical masterpieces of Mozart and Beethoven to the groundbreaking work of modern artists. Through interactive activities, listening sessions, and hands-on music creation, campers will learn how music has evolved across cultures and centuries. They’ll discover the impact of iconic musicians, composers, and genres, gaining a deeper appreciation for how music shapes our world today. From jazz and blues to rock and pop, this theme will expose campers to the foundational sounds of every musical genre.

We’ll take a field trip on July 1st to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and the Natural History Museum, connecting history to the present.

July 21st-25th

Summer Camp Session 6
Moana: A Journey of Self-Discovery and Adventure

$350 per week
Ages 5-12

We’ll dive into the tropical paradise of Moana, where campers will embark on a voyage of self-discovery, courage, and friendship. Through acting, singing, and storytelling, campers will explore the legendary adventures of Moana, Maui, and the spirit of the ocean. The music of Moana, from “How Far I’ll Go” to “You’re Welcome,” will inspire campers to reflect on their own journeys and dreams. They’ll explore themes of overcoming obstacles, embracing their heritage, and finding their true calling. By the end of the camp, campers will have a deeper understanding of the importance of perseverance and self-belief, all while having fun with Moana-themed songs and activities.

A day in the water is the only way to celebrate this week, inspired by the ocean. We’ll take a field trip day on July 25th to Mission Bay to play water games and explore life under the sea!

July 7th-11th

Summer Camp Session 4
Treasure Island: Adventure on the High Seas

$350 per week
Ages 5-12

Set sail with us on an unforgettable adventure through Treasure Island, a timeless tale of pirates, hidden treasure, and daring escapades. Campers will embark on a journey to bring Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic novel to life. Through dramatic readings, skits, and character creation, they’ll explore themes of bravery, loyalty, and the thrill of discovery. Along the way, we’ll incorporate elements of music and storytelling, encouraging campers to sing pirate-themed songs (sea chanty’s) and create their own soundtracks for the high seas.

The camp will culminate in a day on the seas, taking a field trip to the Maritime Museum and the Waterfront Park on July 11th.

July 14th-18th

Summer Camp Session 5
Around the World: A Global Musical Expedition

$350 per week
Ages 5-12

This summer, we’ll also take campers on an international journey to explore music and culture from across the globe! Around the World will introduce campers to the rich variety of musical traditions from countries such as Spain, Brazil, India, China, and beyond. Through interactive workshops, dance, and hands-on instruments, campers will discover the sounds, rhythms, and dances that define different regions of the world. From the flamenco beats of Spain to the energetic samba rhythms of Brazil, we’ll explore the music that brings people together across cultures and countries. This theme offers a unique opportunity for campers to broaden their horizons and immerse themselves in the diversity of global music.

The field trip day is planned for Tuesday, July 15th where we’ll visit the Japanese Friendship Garden, the Mingei Museum and the International Houses at Balboa Park.
